At the edge of Spring Mountain Range, Summerlin, NV, is part of Las Vegas’ metropolitan area. The Howard Hughes Corporation developed it in 1990 and laid down plans for an open master-planned community there. 

Summerlin is divided into three major areas: The Village, Trails Village, and Summit, further divided into smaller districts.

Summerlin, Nevada, is near the Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area, home to the Calico Hills. They have a population of around 126,729 people (in 2014), and it’s considered one of the largest cities in Nevada.

The Summerlin region is a 22,500-acre land with 150 neighborhoods and villages. It has nine golf courses, three country clubs, 100 parks, and shopping centers and offices.

Summers in Las Vegas are scheduled for June to September, and it is scorching, with an average daily high of 103.5 °F. The weather in the Spring Mountains remains warm until 

October and gets cold from November through May, when it can snow up there. 

Winter months are usually January – February, and it’s cold, with the average daily high being 57.1 °F.

Places to Visit

Spring Mountains National Recreation Area is home to Spring Mountain Ranch State Park and The Nature Conservancy’s Bonnie Springs Nature Preserve with its historic ranch buildings and herds of wild horses and burros.

The top-ranked restaurants, premier shopping, and entertainment at Downtown Summerlin make it a popular tourist attraction. In addition to free outdoor concerts, movies in the park, food trucks, and holiday celebrations here every year!

The most prominent malls in Nevada are The Gardens on Southern Highlands (19 stores), South Pointe Pavilions (24 stores), the Summit at Southern Highlands (28 stores), and Gallery at South Shore with 32 shops.

The Wet’n’Wild Water World is an extremely popular waterpark in Las Vegas. A seven-acre wave pool with two million gallons of water, tube rides, water slides, and attractions for children are the main features of this park.

When it comes to food, Summerlin, NV, has a lot to offer.
